Jesse Futerman’s last EP Super Basement definitely caught my attention.  It was the sweet mixture of boom bap beats with sampled horns that made you hit repeat over and over.  It reminded me a lot of one of my favorite albums, Madlib’s Blue Notes.  I was happy to come across Jesse’s most recent release Fuse the Witches.  It’s a little different, a little more eletro, but it still has the addictive combination of boom baps and horn samples.  The EP was produced by fellow Canadian Moonstarr and includes appearances from DJ Alibi and Milo (from Sibian & Faun).  And it’s FREE!  This is a must listen folk.
