One of my favorite things about traveling so much is getting to learn about new music as it pertains to the space I am in. Yesterday I met with an amazing Bay Area HIp Hop Blog 38th Notes in a small cafe in downtown Oakland. They let me on to one of the bays treasure I had no idea bout. Mara Hruby, is a wonderful singer from the town who recently dropped this beautiful EP of re made tracks. Not only did she choose some of my favorite songs including Mos Defs “Panties” and Bob Marley’s “Is this Love”.. but her renditions are absolutely heart warming.
